Status of the Work in Camorino

At the Cantonal Road Underpass (Lot 761) in the area of the Bellinzona ramp, the reinforced concrete work (floor slab and side walls) is almost complete. By the Locarno ramp, jetting work is complete and excavation work has begun.

The concrete structure of the first bridge over the A2 (Lot 771) is complete. The bridge has been handed over to SBB, who will temporarily relocate the main railway line under contract from ATG. The first track was relocated on March 19, 2012, the second track was relocated on April 22, 2012.

At the Lugano-Bellinzona viaduct (Lot 781) the foundation work for various columns north of the cantonal road is in progress. With first concreting work, implementation of the first span of the viaduct has begun. Piling work south of the cantonal road has been resumed. Work is in progress on the installations for the Bellinzona-Lugano viaduct (Lot 782) and realisation of the foundations of the first pillars.

Preparatory work for demolition of the railway bridge over the A2 (Lot 771-01) is in progress.

East of the A2, in the vicinity of Giubiasco, realisation of the second Morobbia bridge and extension of the cable duct on the main-line side is in progress (Lot 751). The main work north of the cantonal road (Lot 741) is concentrating on the finishing work by the Colombera bridge.
